Program and Services

The Apopka Family Learning Center (AFLC) partners with private, local, and state organizations in support of the Kids In Motion program. We are one of only three organizations in the region that is currently focused on serving the needs of the farm worker and rural working poor, an underserved population.

The AFLC is the only one of these three organizations that focuses on elementary school-aged children and their parents.

We believe that by working with elementary school children, it is practicing proactive measures intended to increase graduation rates, increase retention, and reduce drop-out rates for children served by the AFLC and KIM. By assisting the parents we take an intervention approach to supporting their efforts to care for the next generation.
