Orlando Magic

December 22, 2009, was a night to remember for 42 of our families. This was the day they had the chance to see the Orlando Magic basketball team up close and personal - and in the snow.
The Magic held a Christmas party for the Apopka Family Learning Center, giving gifts to every member of attending families, painting faces and instigating snowball fights with the kids. A machine provided snow in the parking lot outside while some of players let kids try to make baskets against them inside.
Head Coach Stan Van Gundy played the part of Santa, making sure everyone was having fun and enjoying the festivities. Everything was provided by the players, managers and coaches themselves, nothing was donated or fundraised.
Each family recieved a basket of gifts and every child was given a bicycle.
