Tutoring

Kids In Motion's (KIM) unique educational approach creates a constructive working relationship bridge between public school teachers-KIM-child and child-KIM-parents. As a result, we are able to customize additional tutoring and academic support for children that need the most attention.

If you have one hour a week to tutor a child, you will be providing that much needed attention and encouragement. Retired teachers - you also have the opportunity to tutor adults in English, reading, and writing. Please join us in making a difference in the life of a child and a parent. Contact us today

Board Member or Committee Volunteer

The Apopka Family Learning Center (AFLC) boasts a "working" Board of Directors that is comprised of thirteen men and women from varying ethnicities and professional disciplines. Each Board member is committed to the financial well-being of the organization and has made JPO and AFLC their largest charitable cause aside from their respective religious institutions. In addition, the Board actively participates in fundraising through committee work for the AFLC’s annual events. Meetings of the Board are held monthly eleven months of the year. Board meetings maintain a 98% attendance rate.

Committee Opportunities

If you would prefer to be a committee volunteer, there are ample opportunities to help with various ad-hoc committees, or you may prefer to be flexible and support us in special events which enable the Board and the Organization to accomplish their work in the community.
