Board of Directors
The Apopka Family Learning Center (AFLC) boasts of a "working" Board of Directors that is comprised of fifteen men and women from varying ethnicities and professional disciplines. Each Board member is committed to the financial well-being of the organization and has made the AFLC their largest charitable cause aside from their respective religious institutions. In addition, the Board actively participates in fundraising through committee work for the AFLC's annual events.
Meetings of the Board are held monthly eleven months of the year. Board meetings maintain a 98% attendance rate. The Board's Finance and Nominating committees and various ad-hoc commi
ttees enable the Board to accomplish their work in the community. It is AFLC's desire to remain on the cutting edge of best business practices for the sake of its community. Therefore, the Board Members participate in continuing education classes that are designed to strengthen their work.
